The Program

The Program is a holistic training program for personal security. We teach the same methods and skills used by government agencies and professional close protection contractors around the world. The model is proven and simple; use good planning and preventative measures to turn yourself into a "hard target", deterring violent confrontations before they happen.

But we realize that sometimes violence is unavoidable. In such cases it is critical you are prepared with the skills and tools necessary to quickly neutralize whatever threat(s) are compromising your security. Last, but certainly not least, in the event of lethal-force encounter you must be ready to administer life-saving aid to those who might need it, including yourself.

The Program is comprised of the following three primary areas of study and training:

Planning & Prevention

You will always win 100% of the fights you don't get in. The most effective way to ensure security is to avoid the conflict in the first place. A successful Close Protection specialist develops situational awareness and knows how to detect and avoid or deter potential threats before they before imminent threats.

Kinetic Action

In circumstances where there is no choice but to use force to defend yourself or your family, especially in a deadly force encounter, you must prevail decisively. There are no do-overs. Our Kinetic Action curriculum focuses on developing an exceptionally high skill level in employment of firearms, vehicles, improvised weapons, and empty handed combat for defensive purposes.

Post-Incident Mitigation

People invest inordinate amounts of time learning how to shoot a firearm but rarely spend any time learning how to deal with gunshot wounds. Our Post-Incident curriculum is derived from military Tactical Medic training, focused on treating gunshots and other traumatic wounds when waiting for 911 responders is not an option. This curriculum also covers the legal and post trauma aspects that occur of a deadly encounter.

Skills Testing and Competency Measurement System

We believe it is critical for both students and instructors to have the most objective and honest understanding possible of the student's skills and capabilities. This enables us to work together with students to ensure that they have a solid grasp on all elements of close protection security for a given level before they spend time on more advanced techniques that they may not be ready for.

The Program uses a skills competency measurement system very similar to the "belt" system used in many martial arts and other progressive skill level systems. Our skill level ranking system is summarized in the table below.
